These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Watchphile website (https://watchphile.com) operated by Watchphile (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Watchphile is an independent watch enthusiast project based in Austin, Texas, United States. We write about, photograph, and showcase pre-owned, vintage, rare, and collectible timepieces we come across. This is a content and hobby site — we do not sell watches through this website. We are not an authorized dealer, distributor, or affiliate of any watch brand. Brand names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
2. Website use — no offers to sell
This website is for informational, editorial, and entertainment purposes. Listings, photographs, specifications, and showcase pages describe watches we have handled or admired and do not constitute an offer to sell, a price quote, or a solicitation. Availability and market details change; we make no guarantee that any piece shown is available for purchase from us or anyone else.
3. Articles & editorial content
Articles, reviews, and videos on or linked from this site are for education and entertainment. They are not investment, legal, tax, or authentication advice. Market values fluctuate; we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information, and you should verify anything material to your decisions.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site for unlawful purposes, fraud, or harassment.

Links to Instagram, YouTube, and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or policies. Your use of those services is subject to their terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WATCHPHILE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Watchphile from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the site, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Before filing suit, you agree to contact us at legal@watchphile.com and attempt good-faith resolution for at least thirty (30) days.
12. General
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights without our consent. We may assign ours in connection with a sale of business or assets.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
